Door Window Stair
Vertical Movement's shape the dialogue between massing systems and constructed systems.
Vertical Datum
Vertical Datum is an exercise in spatial hierarchy and systematic directionality. This model was constructed with an armature of two intersecting walls which form a support system as well as the primary boundaries. The program of this project was inspired by a “performance school†in which spaces were designated as classrooms, living spaces, and performance spaces, creating individual, group, and crowd spaces.
Room & Garden
A study of itinerary, pause, and motion within a tectonic assembly.
Excavated Dwelling
Activating the desert landscape was the primary goal of the desert project. The program for this particular model was the combination of three programs, the archaeologists, the geologists, and the tourists. This program provided building inspiration drawn from the words “to shield,†“to excavate,†and “divide.†The model includes large transitory spaces which lead form large open courtyard spaces to small, enclosed individual spaces. It also utilizes the idea of framing and obstructing views.
